Glen Park is a small piece of SF real estate named after the adjacent Glen Canyon Park. It is south of Diamond Heights and Noe Valley, west of Bernal Heights, and east of Glen Canyon Park. The intersection of Diamond St and Bosworth St, the location of the Glen Park BART Station- is generally considered the center of the neighborhood. Most homes along the Glen park hillside were built around the 1890s when the railroad connected the area with Downtown SF.

The Vibe:

Glen Park offers a small village atmosphere that seems a little more isolated than central neighborhoods. Hills and “blocks” of residential homes separate it from neighboring areas such as Noe Valley.

Accessibility:  Several bus lines along with the J Church muni line route through Glen Park. Bike and car-friendly.

Glen Park Businesses and  Shops:  Small businesses such as mom and pops stores, restaurants, bars and the like contribute to even more of a village-y feel.  Organic markets, small liquor stores and charming coffee shops adds to the magic of the this seemingly-hidden gem.

Our Take:

Family-friendly neighborhood. Professionals working in and around SF get to enjoy the convenience of having a BART station closeby.
